HERRERA AND HUGHES

Herrera and Hughes at Eye Level Sky
Skip a Beat when they come Nearer, Shy Guys,
Quick to see a Flower in Window.
The Petals a Ceruzulean Blue

As they Bloom upon the Slat’s own Shadow
Casting a Tree through the Leaves of an Oak
Like a Jacaranda would Look from Earth
Made of Fiber and Water grown Sterner

As the purplish and serene Light Vision.
As it would seem to Speak back to a Ray
IN its Own Visage with its Own Language.
Eye Says to Ear what Sound says to Rhyme.

It will not be Revised nor Rewritten
It is Not Made for that Purpose, Again.
